If you had to choose between better looking shoes or better looking clothes, whichwould be more important to you and why?

The clothes and shoes we wear make up the picture of ourselves that we want present to the friends and family around us as well as the society that we live and work in.
Which of the two plays a bigger part clothes or shoes?
Surely the easy way to answer this question is "both of them" and it would not be a bad answer.
However it seems more likely that ones eye catches a pair of shoes first.

Imagine someone immaculately dressed that has a bit of mud on their shoes, the first thing to get noticed would be the mud.
Even a beautiful lady wearing flat shoes going out in the evening, how much would this affect her overall look?
A small imperfection in our clothes could be easily hidden from the overall picture, not in the shoes though.
Hence, of course clothes and shoes are important in the way that we look but shoes stand out.

Shoes are important for men and women, but for some women can be an absolute obseccion.
This is not something that can be easily explained
Maybe because it is in their nature to want to be liked that little bit extra, maybe because they want to look taller standing next to a man. Shoes unlike clothes are not directly associated with height or weight. It maybe harder for a bigger lady to find clothes, but for shoes she would not have the same problem.
It is not a coincidence that so many tales look into the relationship of women with shoes. From Cinderella and the way that her prince recognised her through the shoe she left behind, to Carrie from Sex and the City and Mr Big, to the notorious Imelda Marcos and her thousands of pairs

A beautiful well made shoe improves not only the aesthetics of our appearance but our psychology and well being.
Studies have found that the majority of the women ( a lot less than the men) choose shoes based on their style and appearance and not their comfort. The health of their feet comes into second place.

Returning to my original argument "shoes vs clothes" I am under the impression that the scales tilt towards the shoes. Would you agree with me?

If you want to know more on the damage that can the wrong shoes cause to your feet, as well as more information on the most confortable shoe
